Readymix Brunei has been supplying concrete to Brunei Darussalam since 1983, and today is the largest supplier in the country. Relentless drive for product improvement, carbon reduction without increasing prices, led the concrete supplier to work with Neocrete.

The Challenge

Readymix Brunei has access to an ungraded mix of fly ash and bottom ash that is currently being dumped. With normal additives, the maximum substitution for cement without impacting performance is 5-10%.

The Solution

Adding Neocrete at 3% concrete batching increases possible substitution from 5% to 40%, meaning a 43% reduction in cement, making more durable concrete, while avoiding the ash being dumped in the environment.
