We're super stoked to be a finalist in Concrete New Zealand's Sustainability Award and the Sustainable Business Network's Climate Action Leader award.
The Climate Action Leader award, sponsored by Waka Kotahi, recognises businesses that are driving change in their industry and contributing to a more sustainable Aotearoa.
Neocrete is a finalist for our work to reduce carbon in projects (including Kainga Ora Bader Ventura development, Scots College and eHaus floor slabs). It also recognises Neocrete's work to help accelerate the concrete industry's shift to low carbon concrete.
Other finalists are Lion, Carbon Click, DB Breweries, McCain Foods, East by West Ferries and Hybrid Bikes.
Concrete NZ also named Neocrete - together with Concretec - as a finalist in the Sustainability Award for Kainga Ora's Bader Ventura pilot at Mangere.
In this project, Neocrete was used to help reduce cement by 25% (95kg per cubic metre), which translates into a reduction in embodied carbon of 22%.
The Bader Ventura pilot has been selected as a beacon project for the Construction Sector Accord.
