Stained , Dyed and Metallic Concrete

For home or business, stained concrete is the choice for a unique,  affordable look. An ordinary concrete slab can become the palette for rich, mottled hues resembling natural stone or marble. Its eco-friendly character and ease of maintenance make it  very desirable. Whether you want interior floors, outside porches, walks, driveways, walls or pool decks, the true beauty of stained concrete is the custom look Neocrete can create for you.
We work hard to ensure that your job is done right.

Acid Stain,  Dyes and Metallic Concrete Floor Information

Acid Stain is a chemical process. Hydrochloric acid and metallic salts react with the lime in concrete to permanently colorize the surface. Depending on the concrete and how the stain is applied, each floor will produce varying shades and intensity.

The standard colors available in acid stain are subtle earth tones, such as terra cotta, brown and green. Neocrete also works with water-based penetrating stains, solvent-based dyes, tinted sealers and metallics to create an expanded range of colors. We can custom mix colors and applications to create almost any shade you desire. This is what sets us apart from the others. To see all the colors we offer click here.

Score cutting is another way to enhance your project. Neocrete can cut tile patterns, borders, logos or custom designs in the concrete.

For most jobs the stain process takes 3-4 days. This time frame is dependent on several factors, such as job size, the condition of the concrete, color, sealer and yes… Mother Nature! Acid staining is not glamorous, it is hard work. If you want a beautiful job that will last, hire a qualified decorative concrete contractor.

If you are considering a decorative concrete floor, early planning is the best way to ensure a desirable outcome. Not all concrete is a good candidate for stain. Older, deteriorating concrete can be difficult to stain. Curing compounds, paint, sealers, glue, tape and adhesives can inhibit stain from reacting and must be removed. For more information on planning for decorative concrete, please click on the project planning file below.
